Q. What is your wedding photography style? My style is a mix of photojournalistic and formal portraiture. For most of your day, I capture moments and feelings as they happen naturally. I also take a formal portraits after your wedding but pride myself on being quick and efficient so you can enjoy your reception.

Q. Should we meet? I recommend we meet before your wedding date. If you are local, I prefer for us to meet so you can view albums and get to know me. If location or time does not allow this, I suggest a phone meeting to discuss your wedding details and needs.

Q. What type of equipment do you use? I photograph with digital Canon cameras, lens and filters.

Q. Do we have to sign a contract? Yes, your date is only reserved with a contract and retainer payment.

Q. What is your retainer/deposit policy? 50% when contract is signed. Then, 50% by or on your wedding day.

Q. What is your minimum coverage? I offer a simple package that covers up to 2 hours. This is best for someone who only wants their wedding and formals photographed. My most common package is my Basic which gives up to 4 hours of coverage.

Q. Do you have travel, location or setup fees? I don't charge for travel within 60 miles and don't have any additional fees except for a la carte products of course. If your wedding is in an exotic or unique place, please call me to discuss options.

Q. Where are you located? I am located in Riggins, Idaho. However, I have photographed weddings in California, Pennsylvania, Texas and Ohio.

Q. Do we get proofs to keep? No, I do not give proofs because all packages include a DVD/CDs of your files in high resolution. You can print any photograph that you want.

Q. Can I reproduce the DVD/CDs and give them away? No, the images are still copyrighted by KariAnn Marquis Photography and are for your personal use only. You can print photographs and give them away. Many brides regret even telling family members they receive the digital files because then they spend months after their wedding taking and filling orders. This is why I offer online ordering for your friends and family. Prints are very inexpensive and there is no shipping charges.

Q. What do you mean by high resolution? You will receive digital files that are large enough to print an 16 x 20 print without loss of detail.

Q. Are all of our pictures be posted online? Yes, within a few days your photographs are online and ready to be viewed.

Q. Can our friends order photos online? Yes, if your guests are interested, they can sign up to be emailed your your photographs are available online. Print prices range from $2 to $10.

Q. What do you mean when you say that we can earn a percentage of sales from our wedding? Anytime a friend or relative orders prints from your wedding, you earn 10% from their purchases. You can use your credit toward prints, extra albums or photo sessions.

Q. Do you work with assistant? Yes, most packages even include an assistant at within the package.

Q. Do you offer engagement photography? Yes, an engagement session is $100 and you receive an 8 x 10 print ready for signing at your wedding and CD of all your portraits.

Q. Do you offer rehearsal dinner coverage? Yes.

Q. Will you be the one who photographs our wedding? Yes, I will be personally photographing your wedding.
